While Douglas and Hope will be closing their doors in the very near future, a little part (or rather large part) will live on in the Frankie and Swiss Studio. See that WONDERFUL antique shop counter? Well, it’s now going to have a second life as the cutting/packing table at F&S headquarters. I’m thrilled, I love it!

When I saw it on ebay, loved it straight away, saw the location as Fitzroy, thoughts immediately wandered to ‘it’s GOT to be!’. And it was. Cath herself emailed me about the purchase! Not sure if it will make it to the Studio in time for the Creative Womens Circle event with Shelly Panton (3rd Sept) but I hope so.
Other news, F&S website will be up and running in 6 weeks. Blah, not such a good timeline. In the meantime, I’ll start a blog I think and move all this F&S stuff over there. ESPECIALLY as someone totally WOW has asked me to be their GUEST BLOGGER! She said next week, but without a website it’s probably best to delay it? What do you think?

WOOOOOHOOO to all of these things!!!
ReplyDeleteooohhh love love the counter... I reckon do it- you are up and running right??
ReplyDeleteI figure you may as well do it, tell the story of how you've gotten to where you are, and invite people to add their names to the mailing list/facebook page so they know when you're totally up and running - you're building loyalty and interest which is great. Offer to do another guest post (perhaps with tips on digital printing) when you're up and running.
ReplyDeleteLove your counter. I'm the lucky owner of one of the original Gardams (v famous Brisbane fabric store) cutting counters - it's in my unorganised studio. In years to come it will be my cutting and packing counter too. Even odds that you'll be working on yours first!
I say GO FOR IT girl!
ReplyDeleteI've been spreading the word all over the place.
I've already put a comment with a link to your FB page on my FB page. So go for it, do the guest blogger post!
ReplyDeletePS I've got a couple of questions for you (on your FB page) could you come back to me...ta, T.
I agree with Anna - go for it!
ReplyDeleteAnd that counter is beyond fabulous!
Beautiful counter although it's sad to hear of yet another retail store physically closing their doors. Yes, I agree with Anna, still be a guest blogger asap. My experience has been not to keep waiting for the "better" moment. Just take every opportunity and run with it! xx
